On the occasion of its 120th anniversary, the MESSER GROUP presented its product range for welding and cutting technology at Industriepark Höchst. The event took place in a traditional warehouse building of the former Hoechst AG, which is operated by the industrial supplier chemfidence. Alois Strott, Managing Director of chemfidence, welcomed Stefan Messer and his team.

In his introductory speech, Stefan Messer recalled the strong ties to Industriepark Höchst and the former Hoechst AG, which is part of the history of his group of companies:

In 1898, Adolf Messer founded the Frankfurt acetylene gas company Messer & Cie. in Hoechst for the production of acetylene developers and lighting fixtures. In 2005, Stefan Messer acquired the shareholding in the Eutectic Castolin Group and thus returned to the family what his father Hans Messer had expanded after the Second World War: an international company with 5400 employees and a turnover of over 1100 million euros. Today, the MESSER GROUP is the largest privately managed industrial gases specialist and active in over 30 countries in Europe, Asia, Peru, Algeria and New Zealand. From acetylene to xenon, the group produces a wide range of industrial gases, one of the largest in the market for oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, helium, shielding gases for welding, medical gases, specialty gases and gas mixtures. The Messer Group is currently expanding its production capacity in India and China.

Many visitors followed the top-class presentations and practical demonstrations on the subjects of technical gases, oxyfuel, welding and autogenous engineering.
